Tango’s Lead Canine Rescue is 100% volunteer run. This means we are always looking for awesome people to add to our team in a variety of different ways. Whether you can commit a little bit of time or a lot, we appreciate your interest and involvement!

Ways to volunteer
Reference Checks
Volunteers will call the landlord (if applicable), vet (if applicable) and personal references of any foster and/or adoption applications. We will provide you with a list of questions to ask on any phone calls. By doing reference checks, we are able to get a better sense of what applicants are and aren't looking for in a dog and what they are able to handle within their family.
Virtual Home Visits
Volunteers conduct home visits virtually through zoom, skype or facetime) to ensure that it is a safe and loving environment for any pet. The home visit is a very important step in the adoption process as you are the first person to meet the applicants face to face, rather than on paper.
Events
We often partners with local pet stores/businesses that are interested in hosting our rescue so that we are able to talk to/share with the public what Tango's Lead is all about.
Typically, events would include bringing a few of our available pups which need handlers as well!
Fundraising
We are always looking for new and creative ideas to be able to fundraise as much as we possibly can, so that we can save as many dogs as we possibly can!
