Dumbledore

World, meet 12+ year old, Dumbledore a bully mix who will soon be ready to find a perfect retirement home. Dumbledore was pulled from a local shelter after being found as a “stray”. We put stray in quotations because it is more likely that someone dumped this sweet boy due to his old age.

Dumbledore is good with dogs, likely good with cats and has been great with every person that he has met. He is crate trained but very much prefers to be around his humans. He doesn’t like when they go somewhere without him, but we can’t blame him! 

Dumbledore has had his first check up with our vet and has a medical plan in place. We have done bloodwork and run urine to make sure that he doesn’t have any clear health conditions, and although he has some elevations in his bloodwork results, they are normal for a senior dog. 

Dumbledore is not neutered which has come with consequences. Currently, he pees a lot and has blood in his urine. His prostate is enlarged (but feels normal) and he has one testicle that’s larger than the other. We will likely send his testicle out for testing to ensure it is normal, but we will determine that at the time of his neuter. He has a few other lumps, one which came back with abnormal cells so it will also be sent off. Please send positive vibes to our senior man 

Currently, Dumbledore has spent $750 through diagnostics. His neuter and lumpectomy is estimated to cost between $900-$1100. We could use all the help we can get with covering these bills.
